Autism Speaks Walk Publicity: Start Getting the Word Out

 Once again we meet in the Easter Seals conference room in August. 

The meeting’s fast, positive, and well-organized.  Dawn plows through the agenda with great energy, but this time she stops and fleshes out the role of each position more clearly. I can’t be the only person in the room who’s a little hazy on duties, but it’s a nice balance of making us sweat but keeping it fun.

Joining the Autism Speaks Walk Team

The first Autism Speaks “Walk Leadership Meeting” was at Easter Seals in July 2009. Autism Speaks has gigantic fundraising walks all around the U.S. on the scale of the Susan G. Konen Walk that brings about 50,000 people to Little Rock each year. I’ve never been a part of such a massive fundraising effort, so I’m curious about how Autism Speaks plans to roll out this event in 14 months or so.
